Filibus Zakariya, a member of Babban Gona from Anguwan Tanko Marmara, Kargi town of Kubau local government area, Kaduna State, shares his story of how he used to live a life of poverty with his family, working as hired hands on different farms just to ensure they had something to eat. On the days when they weren’t lucky, they slept hungry.
Zakariya’s life has changed since joining Babban Gona, he is now able to feed his family, comfortably pay for his wife’s hospital bills, provide better education for his children, give help to others in his community and do so much more.
He currently has a farm where he produces 200-300 bags of maize.
